Botanical Attachments

What better to hold your invitation together then a real piece of Mother Nature? This unique pressed plant assembly will hold your vellum overlay or handmade paper overlay to your invitation card.

Leather Fern or Misty branches can be purchased from us in full branch form as you see on the left of the image or as a ready to go spear as you see in the middle. If we construct your invitations for you, we prepare the spears for you, or you can save money by preparing the spears at home and threading the invitations yourself.

Breaking the spears apart is easy if you are gentle and go slowly. Each spear used should be roughly 3.5" in length. When we are counting your fern or misty out, we visually assess the number of spears each plant will produce. If we were preparing the large leather fern branch pictured below on the left, we would make four or five spears. The misty plant below on the left would make roughly 8-10 invitation spears. We use an 1/8" diameter punch so the plant is held snugly.
